GreenBytes Names John Poduska as Vice President, Software Engineering

Accomplished Engineer Joins Innovative Leader in Data Storage Solutions

Ashaway, R.I. – November 14, 2011 – GreenBytes® Inc., a developer of high-performance, energy-efficient inline data deduplication storage solutions, today announced that John Poduska has joined the company as vice president, software engineering. Poduska joins GreenBytes from Mindstorm Technologies, a software consulting company, where he served as partner and CTO. In his new role with GreenBytes, Poduska will be responsible for managing the software engineering teams for the company’s recently announced HA-3000 product family of high availability (HA) inline deduplicating iSCSI SANs for VDI, as well as the GB-X Series of high-performance SSD accelerated inline deduplicating SAN and NAS utility storage appliances.

At Mindstorm Technologies, Poduska worked on projects including storage management software, medical visualization, smartphone applications, drug ingredient tracking, and credit card processing. Prior to Mindstorm, Poduska served as director of development at SwiftTouch, manager/architect of AVS OpenViz Software, and founder of Matador Software and Jaguar Software, both sold to AVS (Advanced Visual Systems, Inc.). As a graphics hardware developer at Stellar/Stardent, Poduska was awarded patents for graphics architecture for 3D rendering and a dithering algorithm.

John Poduska holds a BSEE from Rice University. Poduska will be based at GreenBytes corporate headquarters in Ashaway, R.I. and will assume his position immediately.
